An autumn poem

Harvest Angel

Looking for souls
With tattered wings
Jumping through flowers
Unable to sing.

My heart is broken
My arms are tired
Will we find those
We once admired?

Scorched skin
In a torn silk dress
Saddened eyes
I'm ready to rest

Harvest Angel," where are you going?
Oh Angel, where have you been?"
"I've gone to fetch God's chosen
So he can let them in."
